Dublin City of Science:

A year-long programme of events will celebrate Dublin’s achievements in Science. A “Science Olympics” week will attract:

• 5,000 international visitors
• Over 160 events will showcase the best of Irish science and bring famous scientists to Dublin
• Even the Saint Patrick’s Day parade will have a science theme

The events planned include: theatre and dance; tours, trails and treasure hunts;  street performances; exhibitions;  installations; experiments; public talks; lectures; seminars; workshops; music; film; TV; podcasts and photography. All of these will seek to get people interested in the wonders of science and the careers it offers.
